# 53-maximum-subarray Try it on leetcode ## Description

Given an integer array nums, find the contiguous subarray (containing at least one number) which has the largest sum and return its sum.

A subarray is a contiguous part of an array.

Example 1:

Input: nums = [-2,1,-3,4,-1,2,1,-5,4]
Output: 6
Explanation: [4,-1,2,1] has the largest sum = 6.

Example 2:

Input: nums = [1]
Output: 1

Example 3:

Input: nums = [5,4,-1,7,8]
Output: 23

Constraints:

Follow up: If you have figured out the O(n) solution, try coding another solution using the divide and conquer approach, which is more subtle.

## Solution(Python) ```Python class Solution: def maxSubArray(self, nums: List[int]) -> int: max_sum = float("-inf") cur_sum = 0 for num in nums: if cur_sum + num > num: cur_sum = cur_sum + num else: cur_sum = num if cur_sum > max_sum: max_sum = cur_sum return max_sum ```
